Atlus revealed a new trailer today on their YouTube channel showing more Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker scenes and more importantly, its fate system. The fate system strengths your bonds the more you converse with your companions and as their fate levels increase, they become stronger in battle such as gaining elemental resistances and you unlock more bonuses.
As time passes, the bonuses get better (examples) :
- Stage 1 – Elemental resistances (resists electric skills)
- Stage 3 – Jeanne D’Arc (demon unlock as seen in the trailer)
- Stage ?? (when fate level becomes “high” enough) – Joint skill cracking
The trailer also reveals that the story can be changed depending on the decisions you make, therefore it is recommended to select your choices and use your time wisely when participating in dialogue with other characters in the game. Some of your decisions may also affect if a character gets saved or if they die as seen at the end of the trailer.
Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker hits store shelves and eShop on May 5th in North America.
