It’s been a while since Nintendo of America had a promotion for Nintendo 3DS users. The company is now giving away free $30 eShop credit to anyone from North America who registers Shin Megami Tensei IV and Fire Emblem Awakening with Club Nintendo by August 31st, 2013. Shin Megami Tensei IV wouldn’t be available until July 16th, therefore, you’ll have to wait a couple of days before you can participate in the promotion.

Do digital purchases from the eShop still count?

Shin Megami Tensei IV and Fire Emblem Awakening can be purchased either physically or digitally. It’s still going to count towards Nintendo of America’s offer. If you purchase the games physically, you will be required to get their Club Nintendo codes from the 3DS box to register them with Club Nintendo of North America. As for digital purchases, all that you need to do is link your Club Nintendo account with your Nintendo 3DS before purchasing the games. However, if you purchased the Fire Emblem: Awakening 3DS bundle, you can link the system with your Club Nintendo account and still get the free $30 eShop credit after buying and filling out the registration survey for Shin Megami Tensei IV.
