How To Send Messages With SwapNote – 3DS App

What is SwapNote? – SwapNote is a Nintendo 3DS application that comes pre-installed with the console. It’s an application that allows users to create, send, and receive messages. Users can exchange friend codes with their friends to send messages to each other.

How To Send Messages With SwapNote

Sending a message with SwapNote is easy. Please follow the instructions below :

  1. Open the SwapNote application. 
  2. Tap on “Write a Note” from the bottom touch screen of the 3DS.
  3. Use your stylus to write a message.
  4. Press the “Save” button when you’re done.
  5. After the note has been saved, a notice should appear.
  6. Select “Send via SpotPass”.
  7. Choose who you want to send the message to from your 3DS friend list.
  8. Hit the “Send” button, and you’re done.

Important : Spotpass/StreetPass must be activated to send and receive messages with SwapNote. If you’re sending and receiving messages from someone close by, StreetPass must be activated. If you’re sending and receiving messages from someone over the Internet, SpotPass must be activated. If you can create a note with SwapNote but you’re not seeing a “Send” button anywhere, Spotpass/StreetPass may not be activated on your system.

How To Activate SpotPass or StreetPass for SwapNote on the Nintendo 3DS

  1. Open the SwapNote application. 
  2. Tap on the icon next to the “Write a Note” button on the 3DS touch screen.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Tap on either the “Spotpass Activated” or “StreetPass Activated” option.
  5. Select “Yes” to activated SpotPass or StreetPass.

From the settings screen, you can also choose to receive notifications from your 3DS home screen whenever you get a new message via SwapNote.
